The Sun Sets on a New World

September 15th-16th, 2001

We are now living in a new world. The horrific events of the past week when terrorists attacked New York City and Washington, D.C. has shown that we all live in a fragile place. What once seemed so magnificent and invincible that most took it for granted was graphically shown to be vulnerable, just as vulnerable as the inhabitants of this planet. But steel and concrete wreakage mean nothing in comparison to the loss of life, which should be considered sacred and precious. The entire human race has lost it's last vestige of naive innocence. Life doesn't come with any guarentees. The thoughts and prayers of all of us in Negril go out to the victims, family and friends of those who perished in the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the downed airliner in Pennsylvania. We are not in this world alone, be kind and understanding to your fellow man. The Sunset of the Week picture was taken on Tuesday the 11th of September at Sam Sara as the sun set on the dawning of a new age.
